He smiled slightly and looked at her, "Well...I must thank you...for telling me this now and not letting me find out about it later. I would have been really upset with you but I could understand why you did what you did..."

"I wasn't just going to leave it for another day..." she smiled a little "I knew it was something you'd definitely want to know, so..."

He nodded and just held her close and sighed, eating his food, "This is really good...haha." He looked at her and was really happy to be back with her.

She smiled "Is it? Good to know, I finished eating what feels like ages ago..." she was just content to be cuddled up to him. She always was.

He looked at her, "Well I am ready to go home if you are...haha. But tomorrow...let's go out alright? Anywhere you want to go." he just wanted to take her out and have a good night with her. (;P)

She laughed "We can just go out drinking. That's what we usually do. But okay-I'll think of somewhere I'd like to go."

He laughed, "Then we can get drunk! Haha! No, let's not do that...so ready to go?" he looked really tired.

"Or, y'know-we could stay in. I mean I haven't seen you in several months after all..." she trailed off when he asked if she was ready to go "Yeah, let's go home and you can have a nap. Haha."

He laughed and nodded, "Whatever you want to do...I will do it... he laughed, "That's what she said...what?"

"Yep. That is indeed what she said." she laughed.

Home they went, and when at last they were through the front door a very joyful Gryphon and Apple came running to greet them.

Toby smiled and he got down on his knees and put his arms out to the dogs. He smiled and let them both kiss his face.

"Oh my other babies! I missed you guys! Were you good for mommy?" he smiled.

"Apple was a butthead as always, but Gryphon was an excellent little boy." she praised.

He laughed, "Well...it's good to know that nothing really changed while I was gone...glad that you all didn't forget about me in the slightest."

"Nothing ever really changes while you're away." she smiled "Except everybody feels a lot more lonely..."

"Well...I was sad when I had to go...I missed you and our kids...but that's all changing...next time...I will take you all with me. I promise you."

"Don't. Just-just don't. Trust me. It'll just make things a lot more complicated, especially if you have to ship off quickly. This alone stuff was for the best, really."

He looked at her. He then got up and got closer to her, pulling her face close to his.

"That's not what your eyes said the day I left." he sighed, he was upset a bit.

She put her forehead against his and closed her eyes "I knew how much it was going to hurt, and I felt that in full-force once you were gone. But y'know, it'll get easier..."

"I don't WANT to be away from you though..." he sighed, "Unless I ABSOLUTELY have to...I won't go...I want you by my side...you are my other half and I can't be whole without you." he held her close to him, with his forehead to hers.

She giggled and shook her head "Alright, that's enough-listen to me, okay? You were fine on your own before we met, and even though we may be apart for some time we'll always find our way back in the end. Being together all the time will drive us crazy and make us hate each other. We have to do things like this for the sake of our relationship."

(Does it sound like she's breaking up with him? It so sounds like she's breaking up with him. )

He smiled and then joked around, "Are you breaking up with me?! Oh no! I'm going to cry! My other half doesn't want me!"

He turned away dramatically from her and 'sobbed.'

She let out a laugh and hugged him from behind, pressing her cheek against his back "No! Aw, Buscus-I could never, ever, ever in a million years break up with you. Unless you did something really horrible to me, first."

He smiled and held her little arms that were around him in his own, "I could never hurt you...that would be the very LAST thing I would want to do..."

"I hope you mean that..." she laughed "Or my father will have your ass mounted above the fireplace faster than you can blink..."
