OnexOne (Akemi/Kakashi)

Kakashi gasped, rolling off to one side as something exploded near him. He let a curse word or two slip as he got to his feet, looking around the room that had all too sudden became a battlefield.

"Where is she?!" he asked himself aloud. He couldn't lose track of her.

Akemi eas holding her own for the time being. She was scared and she got separated from her sister and Kakashi. This didn't look good.

He saw her across the way, but wasn't sure if there was any way that he could get to her safely.

Turning off to his left, he spotted her sister. She was battling someone face-to-face and it wasn't looking exactly good for her.

Akemi just fought off some rogue ninja and she was going over to her sister. She didn't want anything to happen to her...she lost everything and everyone else...

She ran to her sister and this was it...

"Akemi!" Kakashi yelled, knowing that if her sister was killed, she was very likely to be next. He ran towards her, his hand outstretched as if he was going to grab her and pull her back the second he was close enough to her.

"Don't be stupid!"

"No! Let me go! I can't let.." she heard a scream and that was it...her sister was falling from the knife that pierced her. Akemi screamed and began to fight Kakashi off of her.

However, years of training had made Kakashi resilient. He took Akemi's blows as he pulled her tightly against his chest.

"You can't!" he told her loudly "If you do, you're going to die, too!"

She watched her sister fall to the ground as the ninja laughed. She was all alone right now and she was really upset and she screamed out in pain from her heart breaking.

Kakashi knew how painful this was for her, and he closed her eyes as she unleashed her scream of anguish.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

She just lost it, she was quiet and she then turned away from where her sister fell and needed to get out of there and fast.

It was as if he sensed it. Still holding tight to her, he managed to flee the battle area without being seen. Once they were a safe distance away, he let go of her.

"Akemi, I'm sorry - I'm so sorry that happened, and that you had to see that, and..."

She just seemed lost in her own thoughts....she wasn't sure what to do at this point...she just stood there...staring into the distance.

He watched her, waiting to see what she would do. Akemi had never really been a reckless person, at least not as long as Kakashi had known her, but there was no predicting what she'd do after an emotional upheaval like this.

She just stood there and looked ahead...no emotion, no nothing in her eyes, "I don't..wanna be here anymore..."

"Okay." he said, looking at her seriously "Where do you want to be? I'll take you anywhere, just tell me...tell me and we'll go."

"Anywhere...I don't care...just...away from here...and I don't want to go home to my place..."

Kakashi wasn't sure where he could take her that might be a suitable place for her right now. After thinking for a moment, he nodded his head.

"Alright, come on. I think I've got a place."
